Congratulations! You have learned how to define your topic of interest; you understand what you know and wonder about; you have thought about where to find your answers; you have located your answers; when you blogged, you reflected on what you have done; and now you have presented your new learning.

Many teachers call this the Big6© method.

Finally! You have answered the Explorations questions and you have finished your research. Now you may tell us what new things you have discovered through your research. 2. I researched on the topic of tennis and I learned a lot of facts that I did not know before. One of the facts on the topic of tennis I learned was that it was one of the most popular sports in the world. There were competitors from more than one – hundred countries. During the late 18 and 1900’s men wore long sleeves and trousers. The first game was originated in the 1700’s. In 1986, they used yellow tennis balls. I hope that you enjoyed learning about tennis as much as I did.

  4. Crystal
    • I learned that crystals can produce their own liquid.
    • Some crystals are softer then you’re fingernail.
    • All rocks are made of minerals not just crystals
    • If you mix minerals you can make new kinds of crystal
    • There is much more to learn!

  5. I learned that baseball was invented in the 1800s. Other things i wanted to learn about my topic were after baseball ws invented when did the teams start competing against each other. I don’t know where I would look to find the answer.

  6. I learned about dogs. Dogs are four legged animals that evolved from wolves. They also have been around 10,000 years, that’s longer than any other animal! There are many breeds and one of them is the terrier, it’s from the UK. The fastest kind of dog is the sporting dog. Believe it or not the Basenji does not bark, it sings! So thats what I lerned about dogs.

Info found in World book 2002.

  7. I engoyed my topic and I found out some things I didn’t excpect to. For instance in Britain an album has to sell
100,000 copys for that artist to win a gold disc and in America it’s 500,000 copys also Paul Maccartney broke his own world record by obtaining 81 gold discs. The mst popular kind of music is pop. If you asked 50 people who invented rock music you would get 51 answers.Just now I was talking rock music so I might as well say this now, absolutly noby knows for definite who invented rock music. U2 is one of the most popular bands today but they didn’t always call themselve’s U2, at first they called themselves Feed Back.

  8. I wanted to learn more about Soccer. I wanted to know the hardest move/trick in soccer.
What I learned is that stoping a goal is probably one of the hadest pisitions in soccer. I also learned that it was made up in England in 1863.
