  2. The 4 foods u ushly find in your and cand fish food are flake foods that can provide the staple diet for most fish. The other isstick food that are useful for feeding larger barbs. Another is pellets that are good for floating or sinking types for all regions. And the last is the additives in food that can enchance the collors of tropical fish!

    Hi Justin,

I didn’t realize there are only four types of fish food.  Canned foods makes me think of cans of tomatoes! So, flake foods, stick foods, pellets, and foods with additives to enhance the colors of your fish. What about the mouth shape? What do you know about feeding different types of fish?

  3. Feed a Gold fish you need a flake form or flotaing pellet that is specifically for the type of Gold Fish that you have or for snacks you can give it lettuce or spinach

Great comment Brianna, I like goldfish - but didn’t realize I could give them lettuce or spinach. It’s good to tell where you found your info.

  4. When you get fish it depends on what kind of food you get because they have different mouths. If a fish has a mouth facing down-wards then that means that they eat food at the bottom of the tank so you wouldn’t be able to get fish food that floats at the top of the tank because they would not be able to get it to eat it. if a fish has a mouth facing up-wards then they eat food at the top of the tank. So you can’t get food that sinks right down to the bottom of the tank because they would not be able to eat it. If a fish has a mouth that is in the middle of their head then they can eat either on the bottom of the tank or on the top, it does not matter.

Hi Tily, Good thinking and writing -  you made your comment very clear - I can see that you read and understood the information that you found. I think you found it in the 500 ways book. Did I guess correctly?

  5. I feed my fish dried tuna flakes. Tetramin is the best type that I have found.

Hi Lee, Thanks for writing. Do  you find that different kinds of fish require different types of food? Do you remember being in 5th grade and doing the aquarium research? That is primarily the subject that we were addressing back at the beginning of the school year. I know the students had to create brochures about fish and aquariums.
